Mini's

Well, Spring has finally shown itself in Michigan...thank you God!...lol.  Starting to think that Mother Nature, forgot about us...:)

I had my studio doors open and with the chirping of the baby birds, I decided to create some mini collage pieces.  What is so wonderful about these is, they could be used as a piece of art in itself, but you also could use them as a cover for a book, incorporate them into an existing piece of art, scrapbook with them, etc.  So many ways, that these could be used.

 

My first piece is called... "embrace"

 

 

My next piece is called.... "I love you"

 

In this piece, I incorporated a number of vintage fabrics, along with a green piece of linen.  The bezel is a piece that I created and filled with resin.

These would make wonderful Mother's day gifts....

I keep forgetting to share some wonderful news.  I was very excited, when I was contacted from Stamptington Magazine, about submitting a piece for them.  It has been ages, since I have submitted a piece to a magazine.  So, when I was contacted by them, I was honored and wanted to share a fun piece.  

I decided on a piece that was fun to create, but wouldn't take a long time in doing so. Alot of my pieces, takes a good amount of time to create and as much as I love doing them, I find that from time to time, I love creating pieces that I can finish in a day.

 

Also, I wanted to remind everyone that my newest online class, starts on Monday, April 14th.

          "My girlfriends journal class"....

 

How funny is this photo?  I love the expression on the lady to the right...

What is so great about this project is, you could sit down with your kids and have them create one too.  What a memorable day/weekend that would be for you and your family.  

I also talk about how you could change up a few different components and have numerous of these to give as gifts.  What a unique and special piece this would make for the holidays and gift giving.
