Early Morning Thoughts

BLACK FRIDAY SALE......

Yes, you heard right....I am doing a black Friday sale. How cool is this... to be able to sit in your pjs and not leave home to get a sale! 

So, here is the sale....I will be doing, 2 black Friday sales.  One is going to start today and one will be starting on Friday.

My first sale, is in my etsy shop.  This will run from Tuesday, Nov. 26th to Sunday, December, 1st.  I will be giving 20% off on my art pieces that are listed in the shop and dvd's.

The second black Friday sale, is going to be through, Creative Workshops...which is where I hold some of my online classes.  This sale is going to be running from, Friday, November 29th to Monday, December, 2nd.  I will be giving anyone who signs up for one of my classes a 20% discount.  My classes are open ending, which means, that at the present time, there is no end date for the class.  If I should ever close a class, I would give you more than enough time to finish the class.

Time to start thinking about turkey, dressing and all of the wonderful goodies that come along with this holiday.

Day 2 with Santa

Who wouldn't love to have this jolly old guy around for a few more days.  So, for day 2 with Santa, I have created a 2 in 1 book.  I have taken a lined composition book and connected an additional blank book to it, to give you a 2 in 1 book.  

So, you not only get to record your memories in this book, I have also included 8 sheets of blank paper, which if you count the backsides, that would make 16 pages to scrapbook, sketch, etc. with.  You could even use this as a cookbook and write down all of the recipes over the years from family and friends.

Now, my personal favorite is the image of, Santa.  I have enhanced him with paste, inks and acrylics.  To complete the book, I created a wrap around tie, that gives you the choice of using it or leaving if off, but personally...I love it and think that you will too.

I have to say, these photos do not do this book justice.  I tried to capture the depth in this book, but it is one of those, you have to see to believe it.

Ho Ho Ho...

Santa is in the house....yes, you heard right!  I have been in my studio, creating away and first thing up is...Santa!  Who doesn't love this jolly old guy.  I still remember as a child, filled with excitement and anxiously waiting in line at the store for my turn to talk with him.

I decided to create a journal wrap that would allow you to record your stories, memories, etc., for safe keeping.  We all have our own special memories of Christmas and what better than to record, scrapbook or sketch them.

This journal wrap, holds a lined composition book.  I have lined the covers, along with the inside covers with vintage papers and inks.  This will allow you to jump right into your book and not feel like you need to decorate it to begin.  

Even if you decide not to use the book, this wrap would make a nice holiday decoration to any table, shelf, mantel, etc.

I finally sat down and started a new journal wrap.  I have been creating these beauties now, for a few years.  Each time that I sit down to design a new one, the excitement of creating each one, is like creating my first one all over again.  

I have a passion for taking vintage and new fabrics and seeing what will happen, when you blend them together. I took a pocket from my kid's recycled jeans and incorporated it onto this wrap.  It would allow you to tuck a phone, message, money, notes, etc. into it for safe keeping.

It's that time of year again.....

Well, time really flies by fast these days!  One minute it seems like Summer, then fall starts to creep in and the next thing you know....we are thinking about the holidays!

So, I have been pulling out goodies and starting on my Christmas ornaments.  I have been busy sketching, thinking and then implementing the designs that I want for this years ornaments.  As those things are in the works, I decided to create some ornaments that I designed last year. 

Here are a couple of items that I have ready for viewing....

These are ones that I enjoyed making last year.  Holding one of these in your hands, has such a magical feel, especially when placed on your Christmas tree, with all of the lights playing off of it.

I love creating my fabric ornaments, which I have been doing so, for a number of years and I never seem to grow tired from doing so.

My last item, is a blank journal.  I created one of these a while back with these two girls and loved it so much, that I decided to do another one.
