I finished up my next batch of ornaments...still more drying. I love creating ornaments, I can't wait to dig out my box of ornaments for our tree....yay! I love being able to reminisce over ones, from years past.

I have been working on, a number of items in my studio...some just happen to be, Christmas goodies.
Today, I have a group of ornaments that are ready. I still have more new ornaments, but they are in the drying stage.
What I love about, creating ornaments is.... they are not, just to hang on the tree. You can hang them on a gift bag, door knobs, windows, table settings/favor, etc. They can even be hung out...all year, if you wished.

I am finally getting back into my groove again.... I am not sure about everyone else, but when I take a break from my studio, it takes a little while, to find my groove again.
Also, when I was in Italy, I had issues with my gluten. Finding foods that I could eat and wouldn't upset my system was a bit of a challenge for me. Even though I don't get to eat alot of foods that I would like in the USA, I didn't realize, how blessed I was... for what I do get to eat, until I went to Italy. I realized, how much I take for granted.
Now that I am starting to feel much better, I am getting my creativity back...yes!

I created this using vintage and commercial fabrics. I also incorporated a pocket that would allow you to tuck your phone, small notebook, mp3 player, ipod, brushes, etc. into it.
Below the journal, you will see that I created a sleeve to hold your pencil, pen, brush, etc.

My ornament class is finally here and ready to start on Nov. 2nd...yay! I know, who wants to think about Christmas, snow, shoveling, etc., but if you are like me....I love making homemade gifts to give away and what better, than a Christmas ornament. Not only is this an inexpensive gift, but a thoughtful and loving gift, that will bring joy for years to come.
Each year, my family and I, have created handmade ornaments to hang on our tree. I have each person, make 3 ornaments. One will always remain with us, then as each child goes off to start there own home, family, etc....we will give them, the remaining two. This way, they will always have one for their tree, but also one to hand down to their kids.
I love bringing out the boxes each year and reminiscing over the ornaments as we are pulling them out, to hang on the tree. What memories we have....
So, I decided to create a class and show you how to create 3 ornaments, that you can do with your family, friends, etc.
Not only do these make wonderful ornaments, but a nice addition, to hang on a gift bag....
Now for those who do not know how to solder or don't want to miss with it....you can still create this ornament. You would just leave the topper in it's original state and it will work just fine...so no worries.

I recently took a trip to Italy and boy was it an adventure...lol. My trip was amazing and I took over 3000 photos...:) I didn't want to miss anything.... About 1/2 of those were of doors...lol. Italy was so breathtaking and beautiful! I think that my mouth must of hung open, most of the trip.
I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Bill and Kristi Steiner of Adventures in Italy. What generous and wonderful people, these two are. I feel truly blessed by meeting them.

Today, my next online class opens.... "It's a wrap"
This class is about creating a wrap, that allows you to hold your electronical devices, but with the techniques that I show you... it also, can hold journals, books, cell phones, pencils, brushes, etc. I love to create pieces that not only serve a purpose, but also can be displayed, as a piece of art.
I will show you how, I incorporate recycled, discarded and vintage clothing. I love to incorporate my kids clothes into my projects. It is like a piece of them, is forever with me.
For those of you, who have never taken a class from me...My classes are geared to be stress free. I teach you how to loosen up and not feel like there is only one way to create the project. I have been working with fabrics in my books and other projects for 20 years. As an instructor, I want to open up your creativity. I want you, to walk away from this class, wanting to make more of these wraps. These make wonderful gifts for others....with Christmas just around the corner, what better time to start those handmade gifts, than now.
