OMG, these are simply stunning. My favourite Christmas moment is every year when our family is all together, relaxing after the rush of Christmas and simply enjoying each others' company. One of the most memorable year's was when I was about 13/14 we were camping at the beach (Christmas in Australia, in Summer, is always very hot) and we had an electrical storm. The ground was absolutely covered with little bits of hail - probably the closest I'll ever come to experiencing a 'White Christmas'.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

WOW! this is so beautiful! I've always wanted to try saudering, seeing this really makes me want to start ;)
My favorite Christmas memory is trying to stay up "to catch" santa delivering my gift under the tree. Alas, in the morning I'd wake up and again I'd miss him, but there would be something under the tree. I don't think it was about the gift...our family didn't have much, but it was about the magical feeling and anticipation.

Hi sweet Nellie....I have so many wonderful Christmas memories with my family but what I remember the most is how we didn't have much all year long but my dear parents would always, ALWAYS made sure we had the most AMAZING Christmas' ever!!! They probably struggled to pay for it all for months afterward but I knew what they sacrificed ~ wishing you and yours a great Christmas sweet friend, hugs and love, Dawn

Lovely as ever, Nellie!
It's hard to pick a favorite Christmas memory but...I think my favorite one is when I volunteered to help with a work charity event at Christmas, distributing food baskets to the needy.
I got a call from someone who was asking for help for Christmas for her family. We had already had the distributions assigned and I was scrambling to figure out what to do to help this family. My husband and I talked it over and decided to provide gifts ourselves.
I took all the info on her kids and their needs and planned out the shopping etc.

Low and behold, the next day the woman called back and said she wasn't being truthful, she happened to work at the agency we were working with and should not have called and asked for help. She felt embarrassed and ashamed. The Holy spirit told me to help her anyway.
We set out to her home with gifts, food, a tree, and a box of ornaments from my own collection that we no longer used.
We pulled up to this home, dark sheets over the windows, no decorations, everything was old, grey, cold and depressing. She was surrounded by her 5 children and nowhere was there any Christmas evident. We left them with the items, and I was so glad we had. The kids poured over the groceries like they had stumbled onto a treasure.
I'm not sharing this because I want any reward for a good deed, I'm sharing because we cannot make assumptions about anyone. This woman was employed, but a single mom with bills to pay and no money for extras like Christmas. Listen to the Spirit, when he points us to give, we will see there is truly a reason.

My sister who is much younger than me knitted a wee mouse when she was first learning to knit and gave it to me. That was about 30 years ago and I still have it and it has become a fav ornament, I get it out each year and it hides in the Christmas tree. Children who come to visit always search for the Christmas mouse!

What an enchanting giveaway. My favourite Christmas memory is when I was a child (many years ago) and before it was light crawling to the end of the bed to see if my stocking had been filled. I would take it back into bed with me, and in the darkness try to guess what was in it. It was never anything expensive, an apple, orange, chocolate coins, some crayons etc, but to me it was magical. I wish we could have that age of innocence again. Blessings

These are beautiful! My favorite Christmas moment is from years ago when I was finally old enough to go to Midnight Eucharist with my father; as we left the church a lovely, light snowfall had started, leaving a dusting for a lovely white Christmas.

Nellie, you are a prescious friend, and the christmas" houses" you made are so wonderfull-the way of soldering the roofs are great.
I will not take part in your gorgeus giveaway, as I already feels blessed with your beautifull gift,to me, dear-and I do not have a special christmas story to tell--- my most loved christmasses are alwayes filled with the shining eyes from my daughter when being a little girl, -and now it all comes bach as beautifull gifts, from looking at my grandchildren.
Thankyou sweet friend, Big hug-Dorthe

Nellie, thank goodness for Facebook. It led me to your blog and your wonderful Etsy shop. My favourite Christmas memory is this one....You know after you've had a big turkey dinner, you just want to stretch your legs before diving into dessert and all of the other goodies! Well, my Sister, Dad and I bundled up and headed outdoors for a walk. It was a gorgeous evening with snow gently falling and a stillness that was magical. All of a sudden, we heard a flapping sound and saw a gorgeous bird fly up to a tree. It was an owl! All three of us stood looking at it feeling blessed to have been given the gift of seeing such a gorgeous and elusive bird.

You are such a talented artist-----I love your creations! I remember when I was very young, driving to my grandparents on Christmas Eve--and listening to the radio for the reports on where Santa was in the world...it was so exciting!! I hope that you have a very blessed holiday season Nelle!

My favorite Christmas moment is the feeling I have just before falling asleep on Christmas Eve. It's the anticipation, the hope, the wonder and the magic of it all. This is a super-duper giveaway and I'm crossing my fingers! Holiday Happies to you and yours!

Such beautiful pieces! My favorite Christmas memory was when I was about 12 and my parents had just divorced. My mom was Having a difficult time so we were staying with my Aunt.
She took me to her youth group at church and we were all suppose to make our heart's desire out of a piece of clay that was provided. All around me kids were making tv's, waterbeds and the like. My Aunt asked if I would show her my creation which was tightly cupped in my hand. I opened my hand to reveal a perfect heart -she opened hers and revealed an imperfect heart. Many Christmas's have passed since then, but I still recall that day and keep in my heart the true meaning of Christmas - Love. Love - no matter how imperfect is the reason we are all here! I wish you all much love during this Christmas and throughout the New Year.
