As I mentioned in my previous post, I went to an art retreat in Los Gatos, California...The Artful Journey. This is my second time attending this retreat, which was put together and organized by Cindy O'Leary. She did an amazing job of making everyone feel welcome, pampered and coming away feeling refreshed. It was 3 days with one instructor, which I attended, DJ Pettit's class. DJ, is such an amazing instructor, if you ever get the chance to take a class with her, you can't go wrong. I always leave her class, feeling like I can do anything. Her work is outstanding and beautiful and she is so giving and doesn't hold anything back when she teaches. I definitely will be back to The Artful Journey, what an amazing retreat to attend.
This is a picture of my first morning with fog coming down from the mountains. This place has such a peaceful, serenity and grace about it.
Ok, now onto my project. I had a hard time deciding what image I wanted on my cover, so I did two. That means, I will be doing another book, using the second image. The first image shown is a image from my personal collection and the image that I used on my book, came from DJ's collection. Both images still need alot of work before they are finished, but this is what I have so far.
The next images are of some of my pages. They still need work done on them and also to be bound to the spine. I want to do some writing on my pages, so I will need to do some work on them to achieve this. Right now, they are a little bumpy, but by the time, I get done, they will be smooth.
Now, onto playing in my studio....
