catching up....

Now, that Christmas is behind me, I can catch up on things....:)  First, just a quick reminder...

Creative Workshops

Next, I wanted to say thank you to a very special friend...JoAnna Pierotti.  I received this wonderful Christmas gift in the mail. Along with this amazing gift, she sent me a necklace for my birthday...thank you so much, JoAnna.  

 (sorry the image is blurry)  I plan on taking a better one tomorrow, when the sun is out).

JoAnna has been creating these amazing mercury glass pieces and I was a lucky girl to receive one from her this year.  The picture does not due it justice.  Seeing this in person is so amazing.  For those of you, who would like to see more of her work, clink on the link below and it will direct you to her site.

I created a couple of new pieces...  The first piece is called...

Life

I created a blank journal with watercolor pages.  It has 24 pages of blank paper and if you count the backsides that would make 48.  I incorporated a vintage metal frame that I placed a fabric heart and the word...life.

My next piece is a fabric journal wrap....love, joy, peace, smiles, happiness

This one is a bit different than my usually journal wraps.  I did a tri-panel one.  It folds out flat and has two pockets.  One for the journal and one to hold items to you wish to carry.

Dear Nellie, what beautiful gifts from dear Joanna- I love her altered glass ornaments, and the necklace is stunning,too.
I am still late with some gifts, and yours are still here waiting to be compleated ,as is a few others also.... My before christmas was so far too much filled with shows-but it was nessesarely for me to try earning some money- so please know, there will also be a little gift from me in the beginning of thé new year,!
And Nellie, your new book is gorgeous, so sweet that you can open it up, like that,-the front is so very beautiful, dear friend.
