I love hearing stories that have been passed on from generations to generations. I do have to wonder, what will mine be thinking as they hear my stories.....:) I wanted to share one of my stories, actually a funny one...at least to me that is.
Ok, here it is...the other day I was outside, as it was a nice and sunny day here. So, I decided to pull out the moped (it belongs to my son). Now, I have only ridden this thing 2 times, so I decided that I would try it out again.
So, I rode it around our property a few times and felt, hey....I think that I might be ready to venture out into the street with it. So, I went to the end of the driveway and looked both ways, no one was on the street, so I gave it a go. Now, at first no problem...then I saw a truck coming down the road. I thought that I probably should turn it around and head back, so far so good. This is where it all went down hill...lol. Oh, I turned it around, but instead of hitting on the brake, I hit the gas and ran over my neighbors mailbox and I don't mean that I hit it. I mean, I acutally ran over it and took it off.
Oh, I never fell off the moped, but that mailbox sure when flying. You should of seen the look on that guys face in the truck...it was priceless...lol. I bet he didn't think that he would be seeing that when he venture down our road. So, I headed home to get my hubby and his tools, so we could go back and fix the mailbox. Now, you have to know something about my husband. He is amazing, he nevers gets upset or frustrated with me. I have had alot of these kinds of things happen to me through our marriage. He just smiles, laughs and said...I'll get my tools. I just love him!
When he asked me to marry him, I asked him if he was sure...lol. He looked at me and said, yes...why? I told him that life would never be dull and trust me...if you are going to hang out with me...it never is. I seem to have things happen when others hang out with me....but, oh, how I love and enjoy life....:) He will tell you, that after 24 years of marriage, life has never been dull with me.
What I have learned is this...I can't explain why things just happen, but if they are going to, I am going to enjoy the journey that is for sure....:) Some, might think that I am weird, I don't care...but it is a given, if you are going to hang out with me, it will never be dull....:)
So, when the generations to come, hear my stories and oh.....there are many, I hope that they just smile, laugh and say....she sure enjoyed her life!
