I wanted to thank everyone who left a comment, sharing their favorite moment of Christmas. I loved each and every one of them!
I wanted to share my favorite moment... This was a little bit of a challenge for me. As most know, I still struggle a bit with remembering things from my past. As I had stated before, I have regained 90% of my memory back. I tried to think back to when I was a kid growing up and see if I could piece some memories of them together. Sure, I get bits and pieces of different things, but not enough that could complete a story.
So, I decided that I would share what has become a tradition that I started years ago.
Every year we make handmade ornaments. Our tree consist of handmade ornaments that we have made and also ones that have been given to us as gifts. Each year as we take them out, we sit, talk and laugh about those years. Moments that we will cherish forever. Now,there is one more thing that I started some years ago. Every year I buy a present that is the same for everyone. This present can only be open, after everyone has opened their presents and they have to be opened together and at the same time.
This present is a nerf gun...
We then take them out and each person loads up their nerf gun and we have a war. We have so many of those darts being shot that they are coming from every angle. I started this, because I wanted each and every person who is there, to always remember...no matter how old you are, you can always remain a kid at heart. This is something that every year, everyone looks forward to. I love how it brings everyone together for that moment of laughter and just being a kid again. These are my moments, that I will always cherish.
Now onto the winner of my blog giveaway. My son Trevor, picked this name out of the bucket.
