it's off to my studio, I go. I just love it, when I can spend a whole day in my studio. Christmas music is playing, no phones ringing and it's all about creating...lol.
My next items are, "holders". Whether that be; business cards, pictures, cards or whatever you wish to place there. They are sure to have people wanting to check them out. I love creating things that are conversational pieces. These items are made from metal that has been soldered, well all but the last one. I even painted one of them. I wanted to know if I could paint solder and guess what...I did. How cool are these to have one to display an image of your love one, your business card or a card that you received through the holidays.
I created a holder on the back of this one, where it will allow you to hold your business cards.
On the back of the next two holders, I created a flat surface, where it will allow you to place your extra cards.
Here is another batch of goodies that are coming out of my studio today...I have alot of things in different stages. I find that it is getting harder to move around in my studio, but oh, the fun that I am having.
These are ornament/gift holders
I created pockets on the backs of each one. This will allow you to enclose a gift card, money, candy or letter.
I was heading home the other night from visiting my son in Maryland and I came up with my newest book, "The dance".
I have been very blessed, that each of my children, know what they want out of life, at this point in their lives. I have reminded them, that we all keep evolving and that sometimes, we start out with one choice and because of life's experiences, we find that we shift that path and start a new one. Doesn't mean, that you didn't know where you were going, but at that point in time, you were heading in the direction you were meant to. We sometimes, need to journey on certain paths, to help us to become the person we are meant to be, for the next part of the journey.
Now, thinking about this on my way home, I heard a song from, LeeAnn Womack, "I hope that you dance". I started to think about how, I hope, that each person achieves their dance and enjoys it all the way through their life. With that in mind, came the..."ballerina".
How with pratice, determination, skill and faith, she flies with grace and beauty. How I hope, that each of us, strive to overcome our differences with each other, don't give up... because you failed once or twice, find beauty in the small things and have faith in yourself, to do whatever your heart desires to.
These next two books came about from this book, "The dance". I loved the image that I painted on the book and also one on the inside, that I wanted to repeat it on a composition book.
Not that I am wishing for Christmas yet...but, I have started working on some items for the holidays. It is hard to get into the spirit of Christmas when you are having 60's weather, but with a little bit of Christmas music, I think that I might be able to accomplish it. I have a number of items in different stages in my studio and these are the ones that I have finished up so far.
