Early Morning Thoughts

I have been in the mood to paint lately, so I decided to pull out some images and altered them a bit.

In this next journal, I took a image of an angel and applied acrylics and mediums to her, to further enhance it.

I then decided to incorporate the image into a journal.  This next book is called....

I have included 8 sheets of medium weight papers and if you count the backsides that would make 16 pages.  You could use them to journal, scrapbook, sketch, pastels, inks, pencils, light watercolor washes or just leave it out as an art piece itself.

To each of us, happiness may mean something different.  To me, happiness is all about love.  Whether that be the love you receive or give away, each is unique in itself.  

When I find myself feeling down or lonely, I find that if I do something for someone else, out of love...then I find myself back to feeling good and happy again.  Whether that be someone I know or even a total stranger, love is the greatest gift that we can ever receive or give away.

This is how my next journal came about...

I created the covers out of watercolor paper and applied vintage papers, inks, acrylics, vintage buttons, ribbon, words and an image of flowers.

I printed the image on a fabric sheet and then applied acrylics and mediums to further enhance it.

This image is actually from flowers that I had received from my hubby.  As they were wilting away, I decided to capture the image of them.

Here are a few of my newest books that I have ready....

 

This one is using a print from one of my past original art pieces.  I have attached it to a large blank book and incorporated acrylics, inks, pencils and vintage papers.

This is a large blank sketch book that I incorporated different mediums onto.

On this one, I incorporated image, acrylics, inks, pencils and resin.  This was applied to a watercolor blank book.

This is a small spiral watercolor book that I incorporated one of my prints from a past original art piece to the cover and applied, inks, acrylics, pencils and vintage papers.

This is a lined composition notebook that I applied acrylics, inks, pencils, image, vintage papers and wax to the cover.

reflections

This is the title of my newest fabric book.  I have been working on this one for a bit. Hours go into making these kinds of books, but the joy that comes from the finished piece, is so worth the time.

I have incorporated a number of vintage laces, vintage trims, vintage fabrics, commercial fabrics, vintage buttons, vintage papers, acrylics, inks, pencils, images and words to make up this book.

30 pages of coffee stained paper was incorporated and if you count the backsides that would make 60 pages.

This could be used to journal, scrapbook, sketch, or display it as a piece of art itself.

Cherish

I have been trying to come up with Valentine goodies and of course, everything is in stages of drying.  So, I thought that I would show them as they get completed. 

My first one is a journal.....   cherish

I incorporated paste, acrylics, texture, vintage and commercial fabrics, vintage buttons and 10 sheets of blank paper and if you count the backsides that would make 20 sheets.

I also, incorporated a sleeve on the front cover, that would hold your pencil.

More fun for 2012....

My "Home" canvas wall hanging class, has officially opened...yes!  I really enjoyed making this one.  I love the colors of Spring and this project is just that.  Click on the link below and it will direct you to my class, with all of the info.

The great thing about on-line workshops are, you never have to leave the comfort of your home.  You get to view them 24/7 and play in your jammies....:).
