Here is my next piece that I finished up this morning.....
My story begins notebook......
I love working with doors, paths, trees, nature, etc. I had the opportunity to visit Italy and I took sooooo many images of doors, walls, buildings, etc...lol. I don't think that I will run short anytime soon.
I have been putting the final touches on my classes that I will be teaching in 2015. The next venue that I am able to share with everyone, is the class that I will be teaching at, Art Is You. I have the pleasure of teaching in Petaluma and Minneapolis this year.
They have really outdone themselves this year! You will want to check out the classes, activities, excursions, etc., that they have planned for everyone. This is one event, that you don't want to miss out on.

I just finished a new batch of Christmas ornaments....Love is all I can say about these beauties.
I love working with many different elements when I am creating pieces of art and I have to say, this batch was no different. I made ornaments that could be hung on the tree, door knobs, on the mantel, gift bags, incorporated into a garland, etc. The possibilities are endless as to what you could use them for.
I used pieces of vintage quilts, remanents of a ladies dress that dates 1900, vintage tinsel, bells, wire and incorporated one of my handmade bezels to make up these ornaments.
Hope everyone is taking time to enjoy the holiday season with the ones that they love.
It's that time of the year, when everyone is either, shopping for gifts or thinking about it.
Love this time of year, when trees are being picked, lights are being hunged up and those decilious smells, that come from the kitchen.
What better time, than make a one of a kind gift for that special someone or how about a special gift for yourself.
With this in mind, I have my newest class ready on dvd...
In this class, I will show you how to take a photo and work it into a painting. I love creating books or pieces, that take everyday items and create a piece of art or usable item out of it.

Ok, I am off to do some shopping myself and looking for that sale....
I love making bezels and how that one piece of an embellishment, can make to a piece of art.
About 4 years ago, I found that I wasn't able to find the right look to a bezel that I wanted to incorporate into my piece, so I went into my studio and started the journey of creating my own.
After many trails and errors...lol, I found one that spoke that organic look and feel to me.
I have decided to put it on a dvd and offer this to everyone. In the class, I cover how I came up with this bezel using two different methods. Each basically gives the same look, but one takes a lot longer. Of course, this was the first method of how I came up with my look. Seeing that it took a lot longer, I kept at it, until I could come up with the same bezel, but without the stress of it taking so long to create, so this is where I teach you the second method of creating my bezel.
I have made many bezels over the past few years. Here is a few to show you how you could use images or words.
One of the reasons that I offer my classes on dvd's is, this allows you to take them anywhere you go, without having to worry about internet availability. Sometimes, I get somewhere and find that I am not able to get a good signal. By taking my dvd's, I can watch them anywhere, especially when I go up into the moutains.
The next few images are some samples of my art and showing you how I incorporated the bezel into the piece of art.
